Students went for a visit to a local hotel. They understood the importance of recycling, the connection with water consumption and energy saving. We all can effect on the energy saving by taking shorter showers, taking food only as much as you´re ready to eat and not to buy bottled water, if possible! We also saw how the local bees have been making the honey and how much we need bees in the nature for food production!

At the hotel we also visited one of the restaurants: all the furniture we recycled.

Born: September 8, 1946, in Mardin, Turkey
Nationality: Turkish-American
Field: Molecular Biology, Biochemistry
Aziz Sancar is a renowned Turkish-American scientist who won the 2015 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his work on DNA repair mechanisms.

Without bees, the yield of agricultural products would decrease and some would not even be able to grow. Bees play a critical role in the sustainability of agriculture and food security. With honey and other bee products, bees provide the production of many valuable products such as honey, beeswax, propolis, royal jelly and pollen.

We would like to thank all the teachers and students for taking part in this fantastic project.
